The actor shared on his unstable acting career in China for the past two and a half years
Premiering on television this month, Channel 8 drama The Oath attracted an average viewership of 900,000 audiences for the first two episodes alone.
Apart from artistes like Christopher Lee, Jesseca Liu and Ann Kok, one would also notice a familiar face in former MediaCorp actor Ix Shen.
Ix made the decision to shift his career focus in Beijing, China two years ago. It has been four years since the actor last starred in a local production.
The decision to appear in The Oath, a Wawa Pictures production, came at the right time as Ix did not have prior engagements during the filming period.
Speaking in an interview with xinmsn at the drama's press conference, Ix expressed anticipation for the drama, and aptly described it as a "homecoming" of sorts.
In the drama that explores the boundaries of western and traditional Chinese medicine, the actor stars as doctor Guan De Wei, who is arch rivals in both work and love with the character played by Christopher Lee.
